Tis once He was born,
And once He died for us,
No longer may we mourn,
This happy Christmas.
Christ the humble child,
Jesus who now in Heaven is
Mighty to save,
Yet oh so kind and mild.
To aim, to do what he says,
Tis the faith of the disciple brave.
